A message from the Manager

Welcome to Downey Engineering.

We are a Control Systems Integration business with a diverse range of skills enabling us to cater to clients in many diverse industries. If you require assistance with automation and systems integration in an era where technology is crucial for achieving high levels of efficiency and effectiveness, you have found an answer. Downey Engineering in its current form has been established in Toowoomba since 2003 and is a highly reliable organisation with a great reputation.

So why choose us over our competition? Having been in the electrical and controls industry for 31 years as an electrical apprentice, tradesman, technician and engineer, and observing industry behaviour from the perspective of end user, contractor, engineering manager and finally business owner, I can perhaps offer some insight into that choice.

I have always believed very strongly in only offering services that can be supported by tools, experience and resources. If you lack any one of these components, then the service is at risk of being less than 100% effective. We employ professional engineers and programmers who continually update their knowledge and skills. Our engineers have diversified backgrounds and qualifications including: Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Mechatronics, Computer Systems Engineering and Information Technology.

We recognise that we cannot be all things to all people, but we do support a vast variety of equipment and processes. To compliment our internal skills, we seek to establish business relationships with trusted partners. None of these business partnerships are entered into lightly and we commit considerable resources into being able to support them.
